Girl Scouts plant tree

TSnews GODDARD – Girls Scouts in Troop 40266 planted a tree as part of an Earth Day celebration on Monday evening at Linear Park in Goddard. The Scouts, along with the Goddard Chamber of Commerce, also held a ribbon-cutting to mark the occasion and to kick off Neighbors United, the annual community betterment effort that will take place this Saturday.

Welty named to KSHSAA board

TSnews CLEARWATER – Trista Welty, a sophomore at Clearwater High School, has been selected as one of six new members of the Kansas State High School Activities Association 2024-2025 Student Advisory Team. Trista, who was the KSHSAA Class 4A selection, joins five other students – one from each of the six classifications of member schools – and will serve for two years.

Newspapers in Our Schools is a cooperative effort between The Times-Sentinel/ Haysville Sun-Times and area businesses that are generously assisting with the cost of printing additional newspapers each week to provide one paper for each classroom in our coverage area – Cheney, Clearwater, Garden Plain, Goddard and Haysville.
