Carl G. Phillips, age 95, of Goddard, retired first class operator for Vulcan Chemical, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023.
Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Clearwater Cemetery.
Carl was born on May 19, 1927, in Rochelle, La., to Lannie and Mattie (Gunter) Phillips. On June 24, 1948, Carl was united in marriage to Doris Smith in Monroe, La.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Phillips; son, David Phillips; parents, Lannie and Mattie Phillips; and sisters, Wilda Busbice and Dorothy Phillips. Survivors include his daughters, Judy (John) Sharp of Wichita, Amy Wells of Olathe, and Cara (Charlie) King of Goddard; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
