GARDEN PLAIN – Friday is winter homecoming at Garden Plain High school. Festivities include the coronation, basketball games against the Chaparral Roadrunners, and a dance for students.
There will be a pep rally at 2:45 p.m. Friday. The varsity girls basketball game will tip off at 6 p.m., with the boys playing at approximately 7:30 p.m. Coronation will take place after completion of the boys game.
The homecoming queen candidates are Megan Heimerman, Madelyn Rolfs, Gretchen Stuhlsatz and Jordyn Trout. The king candidates ares Collin Haukap, Elliot Helten, Noah McGregor and Simon White.
The homecoming dance is 9-11 p.m.
Students were in school only through Wednesday. They held spirit days starting on Monday, including coastal Cancun (“beachy”), hometown USA (red, white and blue or country), and simple Singapore (white out).
