Betty Sue (Goset) Parsons, 94, of Wichita, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 15, 1928, in Booneville, Ark., to Avy Fay and Alice (Prindle) Goset. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Galen Parsons. Betty is survived by her sons, Larry Parsons, Dan (Janet) Parsons, and Jim (Cindi) Parsons; daughter, Becky (Mark) Smarsh; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandboys; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wayne and Flo Parsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty grew up in Cheney and graduated from Cheney High School in 1946. She married Galen on July 12, 1946. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, traveling, and playing cards with family and friends. Her greatest joy was the love of her family.
Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Trinity United Christian Church, 416 N. Washington, Cheney.
