NBC announces dates for 2023

The National Baseball Congress World Series will take place Aug. 3-12 at Wichita State University’s Eck Stadium.
The NBC struck a two-year deal that will keep the entire tournament in one location over the course of nearly two weeks.
The Cheney Diamond Dawgs and Haysville Aviators both played in the 2022 tournament.
In 2021 and 2022, early-round games were played in Hutchinson before the tournament moved to Wichita, at Riverfront Stadium in 2021 and at Wichita State in 2022.
The tournament, which debuted in 1935, played for decades at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium at the corner of Maple Street and Sycamore in Wichita. The NBC moved to Wichita State in 2019 as Lawrence-Dumont Stadium was demolished and construction began on the new Riverfront Stadium. A pandemic-shorten tournament was held at Eck Stadium in 2020.
“We are thrilled to call Eck Stadium home for the next two years, and to bring the tournament fully back to Wichita” said NBC tournament director Katie Woods, “Wichita has been the home of the NBC since 1935, and the Wichita State athletic department has been great partners as we work to make the 89th year a fantastic one for both teams and fans.”
Woods was named as tournament director last September, becoming the ninth director for the NBC World Series since 1935.
