Ragan named Argonia High School Raider of the Month

ARGONIA – Ryder Ragan, a senior at Argonia High School, is the October 2022 Raider of the Month.
Ryder was nominated by teacher Natalie Shirley. In her nomination, she wrote:
“Pep band has always been a task that requires a grade to make sure students participate. When Ryder started on the welding path at Cowley, his schedule could no longer involve band class. Understanding that we were limited on drummers, Ryder volunteered to come play at pep bands, for no additional grade or incentive. He consistently made it to every pep band last year and now in his senior year, he has showed up again. Ryder exemplifies the Raider spirit by his willingness to show up and help out, even without personal gain.”
The activities/athletics department at Argonia Junior-Senior High School recognizes one student a month who has demonstrated exceptional pride and integrity while competing in athletics or activities. Students are nominated by coaches and sponsors and, once a month, a student is chosen as Raider of the Month.
Raider of the Month is part of a renewed effort to build school pride. The student selected has their picture on a bulletin board along with comments from the coach or sponsor who nominated him or her.
