Indians take part in Valley Center meet

By Travis Mounts

The Clearwater Indians sent a track and field squad to Valley Center for a meet on April 5.
Several team members did not take part in this meet, instead saving themselves for last week’s Shocker Pre-State meet at Wichita State University (see related story).
The Clearwater girls finished fifth out of seven teams, while the boys placed seventh.
Kensy McArtor led the way, as she placed in three different events. Electra Aimes had the highest individual girls’ finish, placing third in the 3200 meters.
Corbin Smith was the top boy, taking fourth in the 3200.
Clearwater was in action on Tuesday this week, going to Augusta. The Indians’ next meet will be at home next week on Friday. Eleven other teams are expected to be there.
