Saturday, April 16 will be the city-wide curbside clean-up day in Clearwater.
Residents can dispose of unwanted household items such as couches chairs, dressers, desks and mattresses by setting their unwanted goods by the curb before 7 a.m.
Unwanted household appliances like washers, dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners and water heaters will be accepted. Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners must be tagged by a licensed technician that they are free of CFCs.
Items that will not be accepted are as follows: car batteries, oil filters, fluorescent light bulbs, propane tanks, any asbestos materials, paint, hazardous liquids like fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, solvents, diesel fuel, gas, oil, transmission fluid or antifreeze, and tires. Empty and dried up paint cans with the lid off will be accepted.
Residents are asked not to use the city-wide clean-up to dispose of construction waste. To get an open top trash container for your construction project please contact Waste Connections at 316-838-4920.
