Garden Plain City Council meets

GARDEN PLAIN – The Garden Plain City Council had a light agenda for its meeting on March 2.
• The council approved two bids for street maintenance from South Central Sealing: $5,800 for slurry sealing, and just over $15,000 for repair of thermal cracks.
• Mayor Kevin Hammond appointed Chris Wilson to the city’s planning commission. The appointment was unanimously confirmed by council members.
• The council approved continuing with the same city insurance provider, Hudson Insurance Group, at a rate of just over $33,000 – up about $2,000 compared to last year.
• The council received its independent audit report for fiscal year 2021. The audit found no deficiencies or budget violations.
