Henry Leroy ‘Butch’ Weber

Henry Leroy “Butch” Weber, age 70, lifelong Milan resident, passed away at his home on Monday, March 7, 2022. He was a retired diesel mechanic, farmer, and a bus driver and supervisor in Conway Springs and Burr Oak, Kan.
Butch was born on Nov. 22, 1951, at Hatcher Hospital in Wellington to George Elmer Weber and Betty Jo (Busch) Weber. He graduated from Conway Springs High School in 1971.
He married Elizabeth Sue Creed on July 7, 1979 at the First Baptist Church in Conway Springs.
He was a longtime member of the Sumner County Fair Board and also a member of the First Baptist Church in Conway Springs for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth “Susie” Weber of Milan; sons, Jonathan Weber and his wife Sara of Conway Springs, and Nathan Weber of Milan; daughters, Mandy Weber of Conway Springs, Holly Thrasher and her husband John of Stafford, Katy Weber and her fiance Austin, Hannah Weber of Conway Springs, and Mary Weber of Milan; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Weber of Conway Springs, Magdalena and Jacob Thrasher of Stafford.
Visitation was held at the funeral home 1-7 p.m. Thursday, March 10. Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Conway Springs at 10;30 a.m. Friday, March 11, with Pastor J. Young officiating. Interment followed the service at the Milan Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the First Baptist Church and the Sumner County Fair Board in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
