While local students are out for spring break, spring itself might finally be here to stay.
This week’s weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 60s and even higher – 75 on Wednesday. That will be a welcome change from last week, when snow came to much of Kansas. The Wichita area did not see much accumulation, but parts of northern Kansas saw a half-foot or more.
Expect wind to start the week, with a high of 61 on Monday and 63 on Tuesday. Wednesday should be sunny and 75, according to the National Weather Service office in Wichita.
Thursday will be 67. There is a 40 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m. Shower chances continue into Friday morning, with a high Friday of 56. Next weekend should be warm and sunny, and possibly breezy.
