CONWAY SPRINGS – The Conway Springs Development Foundation is sponsoring a citywide garage sale on Saturday, April 24. The event will be held in conjuction with the groups annual spaghetti supper fundraiser.
Sign-up for the citywide sale is now under way. The price is $5 per sale, and the sign-up deadline is April 17. Send a list of items, the address of your sale, and check to CSDF, P.O. Box 326, Conway Springs, KS 67031.
The spaghetti supper runs 4-7 p.m., and will be strictly to-go orders this year. Suggested donations are $8 per meal or $30 per family. Meals can be picked up at the foundation’s building, 121 S. 7th Street in Conway Springs.
CSDF is seeking donations to help with the supper. The foundation needs 10 pounds of spaghetti noodles, 60 pounds of hamburger, 12 gallons of tomato sauce, 70 6-ounce cans of tomato paste (or equivalent), and 15 bags of salad.
Money raised will help fund foundation projects such as the community garden, after-school activities, classes and outreach.
