Eugene A. Dunbar, retired truck driver and Korean War Navy veteran, age 90, of Clearwater, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021. Service will be held at a later date.
Eugene was born on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1930, in Schaffer, Kan. He was the second of two sons born to Howard and Clara E. (Hinkel) Dunbar. Eugene was a 60+ year member of Unity Lodge #273 AF & AM, and a lifetime member of the Clearwater American Legion Ernest Gordon Post #93.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Clara E. (Hinkel) Dunbar and brother, Marlin Dunbar. Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda (Michael) Brock of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Jackie (Ferrell) Pearson of Clearwater; grandchildren, Clint Pearson, Cole Pearson, Jessie (Joe) Kimmel, Mandi (Brad) Stock, and Maegan Brock; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Stock, and Kinley and Graycie Kimmel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Ernest Gordon Post #93, 6900 S. 135th St. S., Clearwater, KS 67026.
