Wanda Lee Miller, 86, passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, on Oct. 17, 2020.
She was born Sept. 17, 1934, to John Wulf and Cleota (Lansdown) Wulf, Cheney. Wanda spent her life serving the community. She was the organist of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church starting at the age of 12 and retiring at the age of 81. She shared her talent by accompanying for weddings, funerals, choirs, solos, school and community events in various churches and schools in the county and beyond. As a farm wife, she was known for her wonderful cooking over the years for the hired hands.
She was a charter member of ETA Theta Sorority, a philanthropic organization chartered in 1958. She held different offices and volunteered many hours in her 62 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a faithful servant of the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her father, John, and mother Cleota (Lansdown) Wulf. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gail Miller; son, Randall (Sheri) Miller; and daughter, Kathie Hampton (Kevin Additon) all of Cheney; five grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Cole Miller (Jenny), Blake Miller, Austin Hampton, and Caden Hampton; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at Wulf-Ast Mortuary, 911 Biermann St., Garden Plain. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 639 N. Lincoln St. Cheney. Interment followed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Cheney.
