Second case reported in Sumner County; Sedgwick County hits 85 cases

The Sumner County Health Department on Thursday, April 2, confirmed a second COVID-19 case in Sumner County. The patient is a woman in her 50s who resides in the northern part of the county. She has been in quarantine, and all contacts have been identified and contacted, according to the health department.

Meanwhile, the number of positive cases reported in Segdwick County reached 85 cases as of Friday, April 3. Statewide, the number of cases has reached 620, with 151 hospitalizations. The number of deaths statewide has reached 17.

The hardest-hit demographic has been adults ages 55-64. That accounts for one out of every five cases. About 55 percent of cases are in patients aged 45-74.
