District conducts superintendent interviews

We now know who all four of the final candidates are for the role of superintendent at USD 264 Clerwater.

School board members with Unified School District 264 in Clearwater conducted interviews with four different candidates this week, each on a different day Monday through Thursday.

Monday’s candidate was Larry Lyder, superintendent at USD 215 in Lakin. Tuesday’s candidate was Wetig, superintendent at USD 220 in Ashland. On Wednesday, the board interviewed Chris Cooper, assistant superintendent at USD 435 in Abilene. Thursday’s candidate was Robert Davies, superintendent at USD 336 in Holton.

There was a public portion scheduled each day, with a meet-and-greet in the commons at Clearwater High School.

Each candidate arrived at the district office at 11 a.m., and a lunch with administrators followed. From 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., the candidates toured district buildings. After the meet-and-greet sessions, the candidates had dinner with board of education members at Elementary West. The official interview with the BOE will began at 6:15 p.m. in the district office board room.
