Obituary: Ina Lorraine Rightmeier

Ina Lorraine (Love) Rightmeier, of Mankato, Kan., the third child of Charles R. and Dorothy (Carter) Love, was born Dec. 4, 1929, northeast of Formoso, Kan. She passed away Feb. 25, 2019, at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato. Ina was 89 years, 2 months, and 21 days old.
She graduated from Mankato High School.
On Aug. 29, 1948, she was united in marriage to Glenn Rightmeier at Archer, Neb. Three children were born to this marriage: two daughters, Adelia Ann and Debra Marlene, and a son, Richard Kevin.
Ina enjoyed quilting, embroidery work and her family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Adelia and husband, Bill Hedden, of Winfield, Debbie Mahaffy of Derby, and Richard Rightmeier of Mankato; a sister, Marilyn and husband, Leonard Meyer, of Haysville; a brother, George and wife, Elaine Love, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, on March 22, 1987; her parents; son-in-law, Butch Mahaffy; two sisters; and two brothers.
A celebration of life service for Ina Lorraine (Love) Rightmeier was Saturday, March 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the Melby Mortuary Chapel, Mankato, with Pastor Rodney Rose officiating. Mrs. Pat Grout provided music and Mr. Philip Menhusen was the soloist. Casket bearers were Roger Underwood, Lane Underwood, Kenny Lynch, Jerry Langer, Lloyd Johnson and Vincent Urbaniak. Interment was in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato, next to her beloved husband, Glenn.
