Obituary: Delorse Lessenden

Delorse Lessenden, 81, died Dec. 22, 2018, at Cheney.
She was born Aug. 8, 1937, at Kingman, the daughter of Bill and Leila Sinnett Jones. A longtime Cheney resident, she was retired from Cessna Aircraft. She and her husband, Don, gave hundreds of school children draft horse wagon rides in Garden Plain, Cheney, Goddard and Valley Center. Their prized Belgians, Zack and Charley, delivered wagon loads of gifts for Toys for Tots for many years.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Cheney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Leila Jones; young sister, Eleen; and husband, Don Lessenden. She is survived by her brothers, Bud and Bob Jones; daughter, Tracy Knapp, sons, Kelly (LaDale) Schnittker and Bill (JoAnne) Schnittker; step-daughter, Lori Nelson; grandchildren, Jeremy Schnittker, Tim Wallace, Erika Schnittker, Pallace Schnittker, Stanton Schnittker, Nick Nelson and Reagan Nelson; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial services was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.
