Obituary: Josephine McIntyre

Josephine McIntyre passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at her home in Wellington at the age of 92.
Josephine was born the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Talman) Corr on Monday, Jan. 18, 1926 in Clearwater.
On Jan. 14, 1945, Josephine and Wayne H. McIntyre were united in marriage in Clearwater. Together they celebrated 63 of marriage before his passing in 2008.
Survivors include her sister, Carol McIntyre, of Wichita; sons, Bob McIntyre and his wife, Gerri, of Beaver Crossing, Neb., and Kent McIntyre and his wife, Paula, of Wellington; granddaughters, Jennifer Drew and her husband, Chris, of Kearney, Neb., Cole McIntyre of Raleigh, N.C., Lauree Young and her husband, David, of Augusta, Chaney Kraft and her husband, Damon, of Clearwater, Stacey Winter and her husband, Dane, of Clearwater, and Katie Duncan and her husband, Aaron, of Mulvane; grandsons, Mike McIntyre and his wife, Evette, of Wellington, Greg McIntyre and his wife, Lisa, of Wellington, Bobby McIntyre and his wife, Sarah, of Wellington, Drew McIntyre of Wellington, Clayton Campbell of Pittsburg, Kan., and Kyle Campbell of Wichita; and many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Bruce McIntyre; and sisters, Ruby Truax and Virginia Corr.
Visitation was held at the funeral home 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, with the family present 5-7 p.m.
Funeral service for Josephine was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the First United Methodist Church, Wellington.
Interment followed at the Porter Cemetery in London Township of rural Sumner County.
A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory with the Sumner Regional Medical Center Endowment Foundation. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
