Earl Leroy Thrush, 81, retired postal carrier, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018.
He was born in Cushman, Arkansas to Frank and Lois (Greenfield) Thrush. He was a 1955 graduate of Plainview High School, Plainview, Kan. He was a longtime member of Derby Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed driving the bus for children’s church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia (Byington) Thrush, and his parents. Earl is survived by his children, Roy (Ruthann) Thrush of Wichita, Penny (Mike) Metcalf of Valley Center, Dottie Smith of Newton, Dave (Sheila) Thrush of Peck and Jeff Thrush of Rose Hill; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Thrush of Wichita and Robert (Norma) Thrush of Wichita.
Service was at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, at Derby Church of the Nazarene, 840 N. Woodlawn, Derby.
