Delores June King, age 78, of Clearwater, retired Boeing expeditor, passed from her earthly home on Monday, June 18, 2018, just as she said she would.
Visitation will be 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, June 22, with family present 5:30-7 p.m., at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.
Delores June King was born on Thursday, June 13, 1940, in McLouth, Kan. She grew up in Wichita and Sedgwick. She retired from Boeing as an expeditor/dispatcher on Aug. 29, 2002. She enjoyed sewing, stained glass, crocheting, knitting and painting.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ida Maye (Denny) McCurdy, and step-father, Charles McCurdy; sisters, Betty (Albert) Miller, and Bonnie King; twin brother, Donald (Rose) King; nephews, Charles Meeks and Duane Cool; and niece, Linda Gilligan. She leaves behind her loving children, Darrell (Lori) Allen of Burrton, Darla (Bryan) Loger of Clearwater, and Spencer Allen of Wichita; brothers, Thomas McCurdy of Arkansas City, Charles (Paula) McCurdy of Goddard, and Robert (Barbara) McCurdy of Goddard; ex-husband, Ray (Deola) Allen of Carr Lane, Mo.; grandchildren, Traci Loger of Papillion, Neb., Amber (Corey) Good of Cheney, Dane Loger of Wichita, Mackenzie (Jack) Reed of Mesa, Ariz., and Shelbi (Matt) Doffing of Derby; great-grandchildren, Peyton Allen Good, Leah June Doffing, and Grace Kathryn Doffing; and nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
