Dinner theater kicks off fundraiser for Conway Springs firefighters

This year’s version of Bikers Battling Blazes is drawing near.

The event is an annual poker run fundraiser that benefits the Conway Springs Volunteer Fire Department. The poker run will be held on Saturday, May 5.

This year’s festivities start on Friday, May 4, with a new event – a prime rib mystery theater dinner.

“I have seen this theater group perform before and they are hilarious.  I thought it’d be something different and fun for the Conway community to get to see, but space is limited so call and get your ticket reservations in today,” said Nikki Perry, fundraiser committee chairperson.

Other new events include vendor booths as well as fighter games, featuring an obstacle course. There is room for 16 two-person teams, with prizes for the winners. The teams may include local firefighters, community residents and firefighters from other communities.
