Obituary: Loyd Walter

Loyd M. Walter, age 69, of Harper, retired Boeing and Spirit quality assurance inspector, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018. Visitation was 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, with family present 5:30-7 p.m., at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 10, at Norwich Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Ethel (Boydston) Walter; siblings, Jerry Walter, Gerald Walter, Connie Town and Barbara Blanton; and granddaughter, Kylie Hare.

Survivors include his children, Tonya (Justin) Garretson of Clearwater, Lorie (Eric) Taylor of Norwich, Nathan (Erin) Walter of Norwich, Derrick Poe of Harper, Shayla (Mark) Depperschmidt of Wheatridge, Colo., and Jacob Walter of Harper; sisters, Joyce Hix of Shawnee, Okla., and Lois (Eddie) West of Wichita; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
