Marlis June Felber passed away Jan. 14, 2017. She was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and immigrated to the United States with her three children in 1965. Settling in Wichita, she worked alongside her parents in their nursing home while attending Wichita State University to obtain her L.P.N. She then became a licensed administrator, allowing her to become the first administrator of Ninnescah Manor in Clearwater in 1969. She continued to enjoy caring for the elderly until her retirement in 1993.
Marlis married Albert H. Felber in 1972. She was an active member and lay minister of First United Methodist Church in Clearwater. She became an avid bicycler, biking across many states and even parts of France, proudly earning her Century patch for biking 100 miles in one day.
In 2005, Marlis moved to Cuero, Texas. Once, again she joined her community by becoming a member of First United Methodist Church in Cuero. She was an active participator, and loved people, parties and being involved. She enjoyed playing bridge, silver sneakers, line dancing and her Emmaus group.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith Ann Stevenson of Houston and Colleen Marlis Follick of Casper, Wyo.; son, Glen-Gary Snow of Malaga, Spain; sister, Dolores Arnold of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside gathering at Clearwater Cemetery at 11 a.m. Sept 9, where the family will lay her ashes to rest beside her husband, at her request.
