Obituary: Rex Chrisco

Rex Monroe Chriso, age 74, of Wichita, formerly of Haysville, loving husband, father and grandfather, retired Learjet mass properties engineer, and avid postage stamp collector and dealer, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2801 W. 15th St. N., Wichita.

Rex was former Scoutmaster of Troup 893, Haysville, and a SAWE Honorary Fellow.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Eva Chrisco. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Erna; sons, Richard (Teresa) of Wichita, and Edward (Christal) of Haysville; daughter, Charlotte Townsend (Tom), of Omaha; sister, Norma Scott, of Choctaw, Okla.; and grandchildren, Monroe, Matthew, Ravhanna, Savhanna and Megan.

A memorial has been established for missions with Asbury United Methodist Church, 3801 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203.
